Pop Star Lily Allen Almost Broke

News outlets are reporting that English pop start Lily Allen won’t be ’smiling’ anymore. Reports have surfaced that the 23 year old pop star is in such dire financial straits that she has to sell her 3 series BMW Mercedes. Apparently the banks will no longer lend Allen, who has sold millions of records worldwide, any money at the current time.
“I’ve been hit big time by the credit crunch,” she tells the London Daily Mirror.
The ‘Almost Still’ singer who is frequently seen shopping at luxury favorites YSL and Chanel won’t be receiving any new money until royalities from her radio play and album sales come in. Unfortunately for Allen that won’t be paid until until after a year.
Lily is reported as saying, ‘”I’m completely skint,” Allen says. “I can’t even spend on credit cards. I mean, I won’t be, as I’m waiting until I get the royalties from the album and all the radio plays but that takes about a year. The banks will usually front your money in that kind of situation but they are not lending at the moment so it’s a tricky time.”
Save your money kids.. it can happen to anyone. Even Popstars can go broke.
