The Recession Learning Curve - Newsweek Magazine
Wednesday, February 11, 2009 10:27So it seems that maybe people are learning something from the recession. In the midst of all the recession related news Newsweek has issued a statement informing the media world that it will be undergoing a vast image and content overhaul in the future.
The ‘new’ Newsweek will be printed on thicker stock, and place more of an emphasis on photography, aiming itself to a smaller, richer audience. Because if there’s anything we’ve learned the rich will continue to buy - even in a recession. Luxury companies aren’t faring as bad as ones with more mass market appeal.
Via the NYTimes,
Starting in May, articles will be reorganized under four broad, new sections — one each for short takes, columnists, and commentary, long reporting pieces like the cover articles, and culture — each with less compulsion to touch on the week’s biggest events. A new graphic feature on the last page, “The Bluffer’s Guide,” will tell readers how to sound as if they are knowledgeable on a current topic, whether they are or not.
Is this a sign of the times? You bet.

I received a copy of Adobe’s CS4 Master Collection a while back. Because of this, I have been learning how to use the programs in the collection as well as a bit of hand programming. My brother recently suggested I try my hand at creating an iPhone app. I have an idea for a game I would like to try. Which software would I need to use to create the app? Would I need to use anything besides what came with the Master Collection?

I’ve gotten my iPhone jailbroken and I see screenshots of iPhones with their names in either the upper left hand corner or the top middle. What application can I find in cydia that will allow me to display my name on my iPhone?

Anyone know if it is possible to register an iphone with more than one PC for music and apps purposes? I would like to sync my iphone with a laptop I am currently using but already registered on another computer at the family home. Also can I transfer all current music etc from my iphone onto new laptop or will I lose it all……? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I recently passed my iphone to my kid cousin and he accidentally deleted off some of my photos. Does anyone know of any software I can use to recover them back? I have googled and tried most of their suggestions but to no avail. Thanks!

I trade only stocks right now but I’ve heard people swear by trading futures or forex. I’ve never tried either. Is one more volatile and therefore easier to make more money?

As a novice what does it require to know about forex before you begin trading.
